Contador de Estórias
Contador de Estórias is a wine that seeks to portray the terroir of the Setúbal Peninsula, which offers us ripening conditions for powerful wines, while maintaining freshness and natural acidity for a gastronomic wine. Being a modern wine-growing region, we also chose to use 2 French grape varieties alongside Touriga Nacional.
Grapes: 60% Syrah, 30% Touriga Nacional, and 10% Petit Verdot.
Winemaker As: Jaime Quendera.
Soil: Sandy.
Climate: Mediterranean.
Process: Fermentation in stainless steel tanks with skin maceration for 3 weeks. 70% aged in stainless steel vats and 30% in French and American oak for 12 months.
Color: Deep red garnet.
Flavor: Ripe black fruit aromas, spice and some leather.
Palate: Full-bodied wine with good acidity, well structured tannins and elegant. Long and lingering finish.
Gastronomy: Pairs well with red meats, game and cheese.
Serve at temperature: 17ºC – 18ºC.
