Jampal Extreme

In 2007 we started to rescue the Jampal variety from extinction and today we continue to produce the only 100% Jampal wine in the world.
In 2020 we decided to bottle 2000 numbered bottles, from a year that was a milestone in all our lives and from a winemaking approach that aims to study the grape variety. A pure wine, without any influence of barrels in the winemaking process.
1500 bottles will remain for our testimony and study, only 500 units will be sold directly to the final consumer.

Esperava um sabor mais frutado ou intenso; muito agradável, leve . Diria que o que caracteriza o vinho é um sabor muito sóbrio – parco. Sabor diferente, único. Terei de beber mais mas… Parabéns

Grape: 100% Jampal.
Winemaker: Ricardo Noronha.
Soil: Clay-limestone.
Climate: Atlantic.
Process: Total destemming, pressing, cold decantation and fermentation in small volume stainless steel tank, with temperature control.
Color: Citrine.
Flavor: Floral, citrus and some tropical notes, medium intensity. Far from exaggerated and tiresome aromas, this elegant wine reveals the purest varietal and fermentative aromas of this grape variety, as well as the minerality (wet stone) and almost saline character that the Cheleiros terroir provides.
Palate: While young, it presents a firm and balanced acidity, revealing its freshness, minerality and ending the tasting with a medium/long finish.
Gastronomy: Recommended with light dishes and fish dishes in general.
Serve at temperature: 11ºC – 12ºC
