It was through the hands of Vania de Cássia Takahashi that the event’s major revelation took shape.
A Brazilian ceramicist and sculptor, Vania has been dedicated to ceramics since 2002, developing a distinctive body of work characterized by hand-building and the relationship between nature, form, and material.
Over the course of more than two decades, she has combined creation, research, and teaching in Brazil; since 2020, she has been living in Canada, where she continues to develop her work and expand her international artistic career.

In 1999, Maria João Cravo’s art found a new language in ceramics—one made of gestures, silence, and earth.
After a lifetime dedicated to teaching, she decided to follow this calling, and in 2013, she launched Pássaro de Seda, a project through which she continues to create pieces that arise from the intersection of patience, poetry, and material.
